This morning we drove on to Amport in Andover, a beautiful little village, filled with thatch cottages, very narrow leafy streets, pretty gardens and of course, the village green. We stayed at the 'Hawk Inn', a great little pub (again no air con) but it was very comfortable and across the road was a beautiful lawned park area with tables and chairs and a creek running through it, with horses and sheep in the background, it was a beautiful picture J
Again, another wonderful family get together with my lovely cousin and her children and grandchildren, for her youngest grandson's Christening. Little "Monty Rafe Atlas Jack Munro" was the most perfect baby and smiled through the entire service (water in the font was brought from Bondi, Sydney).
A luscious barbequed beef lunch was served outside in the sun drenched garden for around 60 guests, seated at two extra long, beautifully adorned tables. My cousin asked me to help her assemble 'the cake' – if I had seen the picture of it, I might have declined, but onwards and upwards we worked the masterpiece and how the cake made it to the outside table was a miracle. The picture will tell the story. Again, the wine and champagne flowed and as it was such a hot & sunny day Rafe, and many of the guests also had a swim in their pool to cool off. Such a joy to have been here for this special celebration and many thanks to Matt & Biscuit, and your family for their wonderful hospitality.
