The weather is still very hot but we're not complaining. Lucky that we didn't have to carry those bags down those steep staircases, great staff – thank you!!
We're off and almost running to the ship, laden with our goods and chattels and it was a pretty sight to see our ship there waiting for us to board. We checked in the bags and then wandered up town again for those last minute necessities.
A great cabin, albeit small, and it took a couple of hours to find a place to fit 'everything'. As it was a port day and late departure, most of the passengers were off the ship, many having dinner ashore, so after "drill", we had our dinner and then enjoyed a delightful sailaway on Deck 11, with a friendly couple we had met earlier in the year, when we were caravanning.
We now have air conditioning and I'm sure we'll sleep very well – especially with luxurious new pillows – heavenly.
