THURSDAY, 19TH JULY, 2018 – WINDSOR CASTLE
Colin's sister arrived yesterday from the States and today we're off to Windsor Castle. We were so very lucky to be offered parking inside the Castle with free passes, by one of our family's connections. This day will never be forgotten by us & Colin's sister, as the hospitality extended was extraordinary. We watched the Changing of the Guard and then on to St. George's Chapel, just stupendous!!... and with the beautiful Royal Wedding just a few weeks ago, it made this visit even more special…. a shame though that we couldn't take photos inside the Chapel. We toured The Staterooms which again were awesome, but no picsL and then walked outside the grounds for lunch at Cote, overlooking the Thames, while pleasure craft drifted by. Lovely walkable streets also, with patriotic bunting & flags flying high, souvenir shops galore and loads of jolly tourists.
Time to hit the M25 again and head back to Redhill after a most memorable and fun day in Windsor.
